This is a very limited event! With smaller groups- each child will have the opportunity to hold/handle the farm animals and crops that we will be seeing on the farm.
Your group leader will be a farmer from Tim's! We will share our knowledge about the animals and crops. You are bound to walk away knowing a little bit more about agriculture than when you came!
There is always fun at the farm! We will have activities and games set up for your own leisure for 1 hour after the tours. We encourage you to stay and play after your guided tour!
Tim's Farm Adventure is an event geared towards children ages 5-12 and the tour itself will last a little over an hour. We will be talking about each farm animal, their purpose, some interesting facts, and (when applicable) handling techniques for when they can hold the animals.
This is a great event for all kids, whether they have been to a farm before, or if they haven't stepped foot on one.
Each child/family is required to have ONE parent or guardian with them. If you plan on bringing multiple children, you only need to have ONE parent with them. In hopes to keep this as personal and limited as possible we ask you to please be sure there are not more adults than necessary.
The price includes your admission to the farm, the interactive tour, 1 hour of free play/activities after the tour, and 1 animal feed cup.
ACTIVITIES INCLUDED
What do animals eat?:
Touch, smell, and even taste some of the animals food that they eat! Learn about animal nutrition and how that affects their wellbeing and the products they make.
Butter Making Station:
With the help of Raina the Cow, we will learn how to make butter from high fat content milk. They will be able to taste the butter that they make as well!
Plant a Pumpkin Station:
With tips and tricks right from Tim, kids will be learning how to plant their very own pumpkin! They can bring the pumpkin home with instructions to plant them.
Tractor Education:
Take a wagon ride to the field to learn more about the equipment farmers use to work the land!
Interactive Animal Care Station:
Learn about goats, bunnies, chickens, ducks, peacocks, sheep and pigs! Groom, feed, and learn about how to hold some of them!
